Bill, you only had to watch today’s cabinet session to realise that won’t happen from inside the admin. They all are just trained seals, appointed only to praise Trump to the skies, including Bessent. Why anybody thinks the likes of Ackman would persuade Trump to do anything is beyond me. His backers are only in it for themselves- and certainly not for the country or the world. As it stands, only the markets can move Trump, mores the pity.
